2 weeks agoMy favorite dish at any Mexican restaurant is always the caldo de pollo. I’m here from out of town for a few days and asked for recommendations for a good, authentic caldo and Diaz’s did not disappoint. The veggie chunks were big and plentiful! It came with generous servings of chicken, rice, chips and tortillas. It’ll definitely be my go-to from now on.

3 months ago1st visit ISO Tex Mex beef enchiladas: Very good chili con carne sauce, generously stuffed with non-greasy ground beef, and rice/beans. I would definitely eat here again for sure. (3-7-2026)

3 months agoThe menu shows images of the food but the service sizes are different as you can see in my image they do not serve a lot of protein. They only scattered beef on the top. Other than that the servers are kind and the flavor was very good, the beef is tender and all in flavor.

6 months agoOur waiter was friendly, offered great service. Salsa was outstanding, bought some to take home. King Ranch Enchiladas were delicious. Definitely will recommend!

a year agoSmall Diner atmosphere! Big food choices & daily specials, large portions ....this place never disappoints, the service and the people are amazing and very friendly! I love the food choices between Mexican and American so whatever you're in the mood for you're going to be able to find it here, love the chips and salsa, everything is made fresh which is awesome and they can get the food out pretty quickly which is also amazing! I would recommend at least give it a try and see what you think.

a year agoFamily oriented, great service and good service and great price. Diaz diner is a staple in the city of mission serving great food and great service to the local community the food is fresh and fast served the servers are friendly and efficient the place is always clean and with a friendly atmosphere

a year agoSo the large drink is larger than the "large" caldo de pollo? Wow. Rip off. For $17 not worth it. Food was ok. Going to Costa Mesa next time. Disappointed.
